Materials Ph.D. student receives International Symposium on Superalloys Scholarship from TMS

Marissa Lafata, a Ph.D. student in Materials at UCSB, recently received the International Symposium on Superalloys Scholarship from TMS. 

Funding for the scholarship is provided by the Organizing Committee of the International Symposium on Superalloys. Only two scholarships are awarded each year and they are available to undergraduate and graduate students majoring in metallurgical and/or materials science and engineering with an emphasis on all aspects of the high-temperature, high-performance materials used in the gas turbine industry and all other applications.
