Emergency Information and Resources

Emergency Notification Procedures

In an emergency situation, keeping informed of the status of the emergency is essential. During emergencies, the Emergency Operations Center, and other departments on campus, will be sending status reports through a variety of resources. Reports will be sent to campus voice mail boxes (or to the information line for those who do not have voice mail) and to local broadcast media. Below is information that will help concerned individuals to stay informed during an emergency as well as phone numbers that may be useful if it is necessary to react to any possible emergency situations. Please keep in mind that conditions will often change during storms and other emergencies more rapidly than can be communicated by emergency agencies. You are advised not to attempt travel if you believe there are hazardous conditions on your route to, or away from, the campus.
