| Research interests are in application of high resolution microscopy to complex fluids, including spontaneous vesicles, rod-like micelles, thin film fatty acids and other simple amphiphiles. Synthetic lung surfactants for treatment of respiratory distress in newborns and development of novel lipid bilayer carriers for drug delivery are also being studied. Dominant research theme involves relationships between lipid and protein phase behavior and morphology and physiological function. |
