Current research is centered on: (i) elucidation of key parameters that control interactions between proteins derived from eukaryotic nerve cell cytoskeleton and lead to hierarchical structures, with the ultimate goal of relating supramolecular protein structure to function; (ii) understanding DNA interactions with oppositely charged biomolecules and their role in packing of DNA; and (iii) development of synthetic carriers of genes for delivery applications.
