Current research covers solid-liquid interfacial phenomena, physical properties of very thin films, and rheology and tribology of surfaces. Development of experimental techniques for measuring forces between surfaces in vapors and liquids, including static (equilibrium) and dynamic (non-equilibrium) interactions at the molecular level, represent a significant element of the research.
